Your team:

The OX Cloud team is at the heart of Open-Xchange to make millions of users worldwide happy by supplying them our open-source products. We collaborate with various engineering teams to automate deployment processes, increase system reliability, and enhance scalability. We drive diverse non-functional feature of our products like availability, reliability, security, and observability in close collaboration with all the other engineering teams. 

Right now, we are on a journey towards a more wholeheartedly approach to DevOps and transforming our engineering organization.

Your new job:

• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure, products and configuration with tools like Terraform, Ansible and Helm in collaboration with other engineering teams.
• Run our production environments.
• Operate containerized applications on Kubernetes and consult others with Helm-based deployments.
• Contribute to the management and optimization of storage and database infrastructure.
• Join our on-call rotation to handle incidents and improve overall system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other teams to ensure smooth integration, delivery and operations across all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Raise the bar for us and bring us to your level in hard engineering skills and/or engineering & product culture.

This is the tech stack you'll be working with:

• Operating system: Linux
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes
• CNCF ecosystem: Prometheus, Grafana
• Automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, Chef
• CI/CD: GitLab CI
• Scripting languages: Python, Shell
• Databases & storage: MariaDB/MySQL, S3

Your background:

• Several years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm, or hands-on experience as a software developer (strong plus).
• Practical experience operating Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
• Contributions to CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or Jenkins.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems running on Linux.
• Familiarity with various databases and storage solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. 
• Intrinsic motivation to take ownership and a passion for open-source technologies, thriving in a low-hierarchy environment.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with multicultural teams across different time zones.
